Philippians 4:11-13

11I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

I love this verse!! Paul writes it beautifully here! So many times in my life I want the next “big job” or next "big thing" to happen. I think as Christians we should always dream big and want God to do awesome things because he definitely can do that! But the difficulty comes when we’re focusing so much on our future that we miss out on the things that he has for us in our present!

Also the song Hosanna written by Brooke Fraser of Hillsong that says "Open up my eyes to the things unseen". So many times God is ready to move in our life but it’s hard for him to move in his timing because we’re so caught up in focusing on our own timing!!

This has been a great reminder to cherish this day (hence why it’s called the “Present” because it is a gift!!) and focus on the blessings and opportunities that we have right in front of us!
